Al-Athar Lina is a participatory design project addressing the relationship between the monuments of al-Khalifa St. (the street between Ibn Tulun Mosque and al-Sayyida Nafis) and their surroundings. The result is a set of project ideas and recommendations from the participants (residents, government officials, civil society) that propose solutions for the development and adaptation of the monuments and surrounding areas to provide services for the community and through that achieve a sustained system of maintenance through use.
The project is funded by the Danish Egyptian Dialogue Institute in partnership with the Ministry of State for Antiquities.
