Beyond Lecture hall #25 ...TACKLING CLIMATE CHANGE with REGENERATIVE ARCHITECTURE

The lecture focus on how climate change and life degradation calls for a regenerative design. A series of regenerative built examples are proposed ranging from modernist, to contemporary built cases and small explorative prototypes installed in critical environments. The attendants will gain some insights into tackling the environmental crises with a new set of solutions that go beyond the narrow scopes of sustainable approaches. Dr. Naboni's bio: Dr Emanuele Naboni is since Associate Professor at the University of Parma and an affiliated associate professor at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen, School of Architecture (KADK). Emanuele was an Invited Professor at ETH Future Cities Lab in Singapore, EPFL Lausanne, Architectural Association in London, University of California Berkeley. He has taught at TU Delft, TU Munich, UC Berkeley, Aalto University, National University of Singapore, The University of Nottingham, Arup World Research. He was a designer at the “Performance Design Studio” of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill LLP (SOM) for several years, Researcher for the United States Department of Energy (DOE) and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). He won several international design competitions including the 1st prizes for large scales headquarters such as Lavazza in Torino and TIM in Rome.
